Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

God, Brenda, that's awful.

I got all my nails done, which took forever -- they had their normal Monday morning staffing of not enough people for a holiday. Then took a nice long walk, went to the grocery store, and now am home. Phew.

Also, I overheard a hilarious conversation between two guys discussing where the best place in the city is, if you want to see some freaks.

Well, where IS the best place to see some freaks? Though, it does make me wonder what SORT of freaks? I mean, what kind of "freaks" did they want to see/were they talking about?

Thank goodness, my neighbor finally came and moved his laundry. He was like "it would've been OK if you put my stuff in the dryer!" but I was like "Yeah, but i was worried if I did that, you'd eventually come by and start the dryer later...and then it would be even LATER before I could put my stuff in the dryer!" so I guilt tripped him a little. Should all be good now, it's in the dryer and I have permission to throw it in his laundry basket if he doesn't come get it out on time.

I don't want to pack. And the woman I'm supposed to be meeting didn't send me directions like she was supposed to. It's a big campus. I have no idea which building or where in what building I am supposed to be meeting her. GRRRR.

Yeah, I don't know about that. One was arguing for downtown -- Fulton Street, Broadway/Lafayette, and the other one was saying uptown, 149th St.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It was so nice out today that we decided to go play in the backyard!

(And instantly regretted having only the camera phone down there with which to record the adorableness on display. Oh well, next time!)

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Did anybody watch Recount? If so where would they be talking about it?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I didn't see it but I'd guess it'd fit in Premium Cable if not here in Natter.

Our wings are not tired.

I lived it, but don't have HBO to suffer it again. Yes, still bitter.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

The movie made me cry. 20,000 disenfranchised voters? That's a travesty.

But now, I'm watching the "Real Story" feature and do you know who wrote it, or at least was one of the writers? DANNY STRONG! Awesome!

I have dismantled the futon frame and carted it out to the dumpster. I debated throwing the pieces off the balcony, but figured it might scare the shit out of my very nice downstairs neighbors. So I made 3 trips down the stair instead.

I think I pulled a muscle in my butt.

I think I'm going to enlist T's help in assembling the new one.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Balticon was lots of fun. Got to hang out with fun people, and stayed up waaay too late. Good con.
