The thing about vespas, at least old ones, is they pollute awful. Now an electric scooter would be awesome. I could see plug in station cropping up everywhere.

I cringe every time I see someone on one without a helmet, and here that seems the majority. My dad's been hit on his bicycle more times than I now know and at least twice, the helmet saved him from becoming an organ donor.
Actually, I see organ donors every time I see unhelmeted non-car cycles.

To me Vespas look like something to steal. Couldn't you just pick one up and throw it in a pickup truck or something?
I saw a scooter the other day with a bumper sticker that said "I t heart Tel-Aviv," except it had an Adidas logo instead of the heart.
To me, a Vespa looks like an innovative (for its time) unit-body (i.e. no frame - the body shell provides all the strength) scooter with an aesthetically pleasing shape.
