Waiting for the rain to stop so I can go home. It won't last. No sense in getting wet. Burning downloaded tv to DVD for my later viewing pleasure. Cleaning out my Inbox. Skipping to the end of Buffista threads I am so far behind on.

Things not to do at 4:30 on a holiday weekend
Try to get shit set up for Tuesday morning that has not been set up even though it was supposed to be, and realize that since Monday is a holiday and you are on the west coast, even though it's only noon your time, no one is in the office on the east coast, and there is no way in hell you are going to have access to the databases you need in time for your visit on tuesday?? Yehahhhhhh....
About to send off some CIOMS reports to Brazil.
Heh. I actually know what this means! Unlike all the crazy computer talk upthread. I'll bet javachick knows too. Go crazy drug company people, whoot!
I BSed enough at a wine tasting yesterday they offered me a job at the store.
Hee! That's great.
I can almost, almost remember the Riunite TV jingle from my childhood. Did it rhyme "on ice" and "so nice" or something equally awful?

Thanks for the earworm!
t gives JZ evil look
Right now?
Listening to classical in a waiting room and posting from my BlackBerry.
My work here is done!
That is, in fact the Ruinite jingle.
I also remember "paul masson can sell no wine before its time" I think my recall of so many jingles and the fact that I say them a lot causes my students to think I am crazy. I often tell them "You're all doing very well" like young Mr Grace in Are you being served, but they have never seen it.
Also embarrassing is telling someone unfamiliar with the movie Babe "That'll do pig."

I'm sitting at the patio table in my backyard, listening to the happy sounds of work guys building me a new front stoop out front. They've been working since 7:30 this morning!
A few minutes ago it rained, but not enough to get me (or the laptop) wet under the maples and patio umbrella. Best little rain storm ever, it could only have been more perfect if there was one wee thunderbolt. Still, it made everything smell great!
I should probably be thanking God that my computer doesn't have sound, huh?
