Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay, Scrappy!

I want to go to the movies at least once this weekend, and also spend time outside, and also deal with my apartment.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Stockton, shudder.

I'm seriously looking forward to seeing Mindless Self Indulgence tonight (with added Suzi, whoot!). I'm in rehearsal alllllll dayyyyyyy tomorrow and Sunday. Monday is a possible ride down to Monterey - I need a shakedown cruise before attempting to ride up to Eugene next month.

I need to deep-clean my apartment, but I don't know that it's happening.

Tonight I'm going to the Honda Civic Tour, which is headlined this year by tiny hippie cowboys.

I lost my Texas DL on my way back from Boston last week

OOh. What a hassle, Victor. And to have just moved on top of that? Eek!

My dad has lived there his entire life. Isn't that weird? He's never moved. And my mom has lived there since 1961.

Wow! That's intense, tommy. Is the farm going to stay a farm, or is it going to be even more intense and someone's going to mkae it, like, a suburb?

There was an article in the NY Times about a week ago that suggested calling "Mom" on lost cell phones, on the theory that mothers will probably know how to reach the kid and are used to fixing things for them.

Yeah, I'd probably just answer whoever called. And my parents were freaking out last time I was home, all "If you got hit by a bus, how would they know to call us!?!?!" I was like "Well, eventually someone would figure it out. Either because they'd call someone in my phone who would know to call you, or because they'd scroll through my speed dials til they hit "FAMILY"?" (The #1 speed dial is voicemail. The #2 and #3 would know who to call. I think #4 is actually....uh...I'm not sure who #4 is? It might be Vortex, come to think of it...)

not your mom's socks.

oh poor D! fever~ma Jessica!

Go Leif!

You can do it cousin-dog Sassy! Have fun in Richmond Sparky. What is your wonder-niece looking for in the way of graduation presents? I will goad her great-aunt.

Iris and I just spent the morning at the zoo - which was great until about 11 am, when the rest of the planet joined us there. (We got there at crack of early, because she landed on my chest this morning at 6 with some sort of hellish banshee yell about CANWEGOTOTHEZOONOWCANWECANWE? and poof - I was in the daytime). I loves our zoo membership now. There's a members-only kids play area that was a little less congested. Though she disappeared into the very picturesque and yet terrifyingly easy to disappear into giant robins' eggs and frog-slides more than a few times without my seeing her do it. Nice, heart-stopping moments. Ah. Motherhood.

Gack! What's the name of the travelling with kids blog that some of the folks here contribute to? I couldn't find it on our links page. Why isn't it there?

Did you get what you needed, Ita?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am not working and not seeing tiny hippie cowboys. I'm thinking of going to buy a bike, but I don't know if my new zipcard will have some in the mail.

I want to go get my package at the UPS place, but I am a little scared of taking the bus there in the evening because it is a new stop (and in Rochester bus-stop are really hard to see) and in a sketchy neighborhood. I am annoyed a Zappos for not letting me change my delivery to work if I couldn't be home to sign for it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wow! That's intense, tommy. Is the farm going to stay a farm, or is it going to be even more intense and someone's going to mkae it, like, a suburb?

Most of the 80 acres has already been sold. 20 acres because a house with a barn and a yard for horsies. Maybe another 20 acres was sold to a farmer as farmland. Another 20 acres has one or two houses built so far. The last 20-ish acres was sold with the house, barn, sheds, etc. It's weird - one guy bought our five-bedroom house. He has a GF but I think she's staying at her place. He's going to store cars in the barn! I'm not sure what he's gonna do with the farmland.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have wrangled Yankees tickets for a family visit in June. Paid above normal price and they may not all be together, but that it what it took.
