I'm with ya, Kristen. Christina is one of my favorite TV characters ever. Also, near the end, I was like " do these people not have cellphones? Why are they driving around going "Where are you???" back and forth? Also, doesn't he live on an island? Seriously, that shit takes time and MONEY, with the ferry system!! You can't just hop back and forth zip zip zip is she here is she not!"

Oh, and it takes 32 hours to fall to the centre of the earth
I have to say, he's wrong. Terminal velocity for a skydiver is about 110 mph, so the 32 hours makes sense. Except that as you get deeper and deeper into the earth, the density of the air would increase, and the strength of gravity would decrease. Each of these factor would slow you down. As you get close to the center you'd have slowed down by a lot.
I watched one of the three GA episodes I was behind (4, if you count the finale), and I didn't hate it! Maybe I can catch up this weekend.
Who knew we had the same issues, Kristen? Because I was driven to violence and despair where you were.
42! I love the smell of a good google. And that number holds whether or not the hole goes through the center of the planet. Apparently math is weird.
I haven't watched GA all season, but watched tonight. After reading much of the white font. Now I'm kinda curious. Darn it.
42!
I was gonna guess 40.

What would the numbers be for just falling that height? As for gravity weakening, remember it's enough to get you all the way out to the other end. Without drag and that fancy stuff, you're doing (according to my page, not the TV show that said 32 hours) "almost 17,700 miles/hr" at the centre.
Oh-meara--they had Meredith cursing at her cellphone, so that makes sense--they were the only two who couldn't find each other.
That sure was a lot of spit being swapped there.
Suzi, I have to say I fell out of love with it and was kinda watching it idly today. But there was some great Yang and some marvellous Bailey, and some of the rest wasn't offensive. But some of the rest was. Like, really was.

Yeah, I meant my statement to only apply to the case when aerodynamic drag is considered. Without drag, you'd continue to accelerate until you reached the center.
Oh, and if you happened to find a cellphone and then it rang, would you pick up? I was thinking the person calling might be freaked out to hear some stranger answer, but the CTA guy (I found the phone on a train) I gave the phone to said I should have answered. Then he said he'd answer the next time it rang, and thanked me for turning it in....
