Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gack! What's the name of the travelling with kids blog that some of the folks here contribute to? I couldn't find it on our links page. Why isn't it there?

Oh, and it takes 32 hours to fall to the centre of the earth, in case you need to know. I think it takes you 32 to fall back out again.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've always heard it's far less.

Maybe the 32 hours takes into account aerodynamic drag?

You know, the first number I heard was in terms of minutes, now that you mention it. I can't work out how to look that up again. But the show that's on now is definitely working with a 32 hour model. Skydiver, so drag is perfectly reasonable an expectation.

Thanks, lori.

I wonder if they knew that would be coincidence or what.

I assume it's a coincidence but...damn.

In other GA news, thank god Cristina is finally back. She damn near broke me with her "now I'm a ghost" speech last week. Which, you know, projecting, over-identifying, whatever.

I was also pleased that the Chief finally stepped up and dealt with the whole Hahn/Cristina issue. Because, while I sometimes find Hahn entertaining, every time she has a scene with Cristina, I seriously want to beat her bloody. Which, you know, projecting, over-identifying, whatever.

I'm with ya, Kristen. Christina is one of my favorite TV characters ever. Also, near the end, I was like " do these people not have cellphones? Why are they driving around going "Where are you???" back and forth? Also, doesn't he live on an island? Seriously, that shit takes time and MONEY, with the ferry system!! You can't just hop back and forth zip zip zip is she here is she not!"

I have to say, he's wrong. Terminal velocity for a skydiver is about 110 mph, so the 32 hours makes sense. Except that as you get deeper and deeper into the earth, the density of the air would increase, and the strength of gravity would decrease. Each of these factor would slow you down. As you get close to the center you'd have slowed down by a lot.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I watched one of the three GA episodes I was behind (4, if you count the finale), and I didn't hate it! Maybe I can catch up this weekend.

Who knew we had the same issues, Kristen? Because I was driven to violence and despair where you were.

42! I love the smell of a good google. And that number holds whether or not the hole goes through the center of the planet. Apparently math is weird.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I haven't watched GA all season, but watched tonight. After reading much of the white font. Now I'm kinda curious. Darn it.
