So of course my neighbor called right after I posted. Man, she's in a rough patch. Unemployed, living with a boyfriend she's not crazy about, trying to figure it all out. But we're totally going to hang out more!

I was in Pasadena with the baby and I was like, "Oh look! HAIL!"
I used to do that all the time as a kid. Sit in the window watching a storm, and count the seconds between the lightning and the thunder to figure out how far away it was.
I still do. When it comes to storms, I'm a worshipper. I'm the lunatic on the ridgeline as the storm climbs up the valley, and these days, the lunatic on the balcony when everyone else hides inside and the light and sound crashes down simultaneously. I've been warmed and warned by lightening and I should fear it more than I do. But I don't.
Oh! The night D was born, there was hail, green skies late that night as my SIL went into labor, so much lightning. And tornados in the vicinity. And after he was born, I just kept thinking how perfect weather.
I swear, I wasn't born during a storm. That I know of.
somehow, I'm doubting that.
I have to get the pics off the camera and upload them. Noah tried his hand at self feeding sweet potatoes and quinoa.
It was early July in southern NM. Not quite storm season.
I really wish I could get the flickr vids to work. I've missed mac and Noah & Grace stuff because my computers are archaic. (Finally saw poofyheaded mac tonight. AWESOME!)
So...was Noah enthusiastic? And still see you in Nov? (Fuck launch making my life insane. [Lauch is now officially Oct 8. Which means I have t0o care about a month to 6 weeks later] That's MY week.)
"‘Wild nights are my glory. I just got stuck in a downdraft and blown off course.'"
Why does my cat have dandruff?
Of course! We even have a guest bed in Noah's room. We won't leave Noah in there with you. Necessarily.
Was he enthusiastic? Not really. We had some food about an hour before. The OT chided us and said we needed a sippy cup with a straw (because the other sippy cups encourage a bad tongue thrust and a kid with an ET high palate will have enough problem with talking like bugs bunny) and he needed to self feed.
The problem with self-feeding is that it's horribly inefficient. It takes so LONG. And it will work better when he hasn't already had a lot of broccoli cheddar soup and a jar of pears and raspberries.
I wish it was storming here. That would be exciting, about the only excitement in my life right now is watching a British Spy Drama.
