Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Had the "you do this a lot, young lady" speech.

It says a lot for your self-restraint that the person who gave that speech is physically unharmed.

It's ungodly windy right now. Like knocked the power out for a minute or two windy. Seriously? Yoiks. It costs $50 more to stay at the Wynn than the Venetian, which floors me!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Michelle Trachtenberg (? Am I even close?) hair toss is something to be reckoned with.

Now I currently have a huge pang of 8uffy nostalgia. Is that healthy? It's been more than a little while.

Oh good, the PBS special on depression is talking about mental health parity. I was afraid they wouldn't and my cousin has been an activist on that subject, and without her I don't know if I would be really as aware of the issue today, and I like to consider myself aware, you know?

Typo, I guess this guy thought he had a magic wand. Sure--that and credentials and you can have a shot. Just don't talk down to me, ass.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's ungodly windy right now. Like knocked the power out for a minute or two windy.

I heard about that wind in Santa Barbara earlier today!

You were in SB?

I have to pit cherries but have no pitter. People recommended I try a paper clip or bobby pin or a straw. Any thoughts?

No, I was on a phone meeting with someone in Santa Barbara. She was afraid her line was going to get knocked out.

A straw sounds OK for pitting, but when I'm pitting olives (I don't do many cherries), I usually just pull them apart with my fingers.
