Now tagless for your comfort.

Brenda, Mac went senile her last few months. She'd get confused about where her food was, who we were and had daily accidents all over the house. A friend of ours medicated her elderly dog for "doggie Alzheimers" with some sort of anti-anxiety drug.

I saved us $75 tonight by pulling a dinosaur out of the toilet. They have these $2 zip cords at Lowes--flexible plastic strips with teeth on them. I used it to fish the thing out of the s-bend.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the moral is that I have to take anti-nausea medication twice a day, prophylactically. As well as anti-heartburn meds.

But today has been completely weirded out for me. I did work, I swear, it's just that the day doesn't feel linear.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Hmm... a non linear day would be too confusing for me.

Have any of you ever used BookMooch? [link] I have such a glut of books I don't want that need a new home. I'm thinking this is a doable solution.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Huh. I've never heard of BookMooch, but I may need to look into it next time I do a book purge.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Someone - Theodosia? - around here has talked that up.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I know we've had a contingent of BookCrossing fans, but I know less about BookMooch. Either one implies getting rid of books, which is one of those things that I know people do, and which might be a good idea, but...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So my paycheck increase is not due to my change in withholdings, it is due to them FINALLY telling me I needed to turn in timesheets AND I get overtime for everything over 35 hours it seems. Now the problem is that I am working the same hours now that I did then and that is 4 MONTHS of lost overtime because NO ONE TOLD ME OR ASKED FOR THE TIMESHEETS! minimum of $8K!!!! from my calculations. I am so having a meeting with HR tomorrow.

I just really really read the numbers on the paystub. The difference was so big this time because they DID factor in all the hours they had missed. WHEW! 89 hours of regular overtime. ok ok much calmer now.

I've found Uzbek food to be sinus-clearing, but not hot in that burn-your-mouth-out way that Mexican or Thai can be. (There's a terrific Uzbek restaurant about two miles from my apartment that is my current favorite, and it's the only Uzbek place in Chicagoland.)
