Pushing the button repeatedly makes it go faster.
God, I love Cash Cab. And hilariously, I got a call Friday night from a friend I had just left, because they got into a minivan cab, and were relieved it was not the Cash Cab, as they were tipsy and didn't think they would do well.
If I ever get in the Cash Cab, I can call you, right?
I pushed it already! We will reach the lobby! You must trust me!
How about the people in the lobby who, upon seeing that the "up" elevator button is lit, push the button repeatedly as if they think it will make the elevator arrive more quickly?
And by that I apparently mean Jesse!
I do this with street crossing buttons. Because, at least in Rochester, there are actually lights that don't change unless you press the street crossing button! And I once stood there like an idiot for like 10 minutes, so I want to make sure it takes!

Also irritating. But the "pressing the 1 button" is my new pet peeve.
I made the Rice Krispy Treats O'Doom last night to take to the daycare people at the gym. I make them by melting Milky Way bars with some butter and then adding the Rice Krispies. Then top them off with some melted Hershey bars. I'm glad they're boxed up and ready to deliver.
It's odd. I don't remember putting CRACK in them.
I have the day off, but it's raining. Which totally throws the wrench in my plan of gardening all day.
This is how easily distracted I can be. I went to the grocery store and decided while I was there that I was going to make roast chicken with garlic, rosemary, and potatoes. I bought the potatoes, but forgot the chicken, rosemary and garlic.
Mystery of the day: Why does having 2 toaster waffles fro breakfast only lead to me being hungry an hour later, but when I eat three waffles, I'm full for hours?

In the elevators where I work, pushing a button (even one that's already lit) will cause the doors to close sooner than if you just wait. Granted, it saves maybe 2 seconds, but the effort expended is also pretty small.
