Why do people insist on getting in an elevator going down (in a building with only four floors) and not only double-checking to make sure that the button for "1" is pushed (where else would I be going?) but then PUSHING THE BUTTON AGAIN?
I pushed it already! We will reach the lobby! You must trust me!
Pushing the button repeatedly makes it go faster.
God, I love Cash Cab. And hilariously, I got a call Friday night from a friend I had just left, because they got into a minivan cab, and were relieved it was not the Cash Cab, as they were tipsy and didn't think they would do well.
If I ever get in the Cash Cab, I can call you, right?
OF COURSE!

How about the people in the lobby who, upon seeing that the "up" elevator button is lit, push the button repeatedly as if they think it will make the elevator arrive more quickly?
And by that I apparently mean Jesse!
I do this with street crossing buttons. Because, at least in Rochester, there are actually lights that don't change unless you press the street crossing button! And I once stood there like an idiot for like 10 minutes, so I want to make sure it takes!

Also irritating. But the "pressing the 1 button" is my new pet peeve.
I made the Rice Krispy Treats O'Doom last night to take to the daycare people at the gym. I make them by melting Milky Way bars with some butter and then adding the Rice Krispies. Then top them off with some melted Hershey bars. I'm glad they're boxed up and ready to deliver.
It's odd. I don't remember putting CRACK in them.
