Natter 58: Let's call Venezuela!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
21 best mugshots ever. Not a celebrity to be seen among them, but some very special people nonetheless.
mobile Noah - what a cutiehead!

#17 wins! #5 also very distinctive!
Extra credit for huffing gold paint dude, and blackface.
Kristin, most of my easy wheat-free shopping has been WholeFoods. They are very good at just about everything "-free."
Yes indeed. Great, I figured you already were using them, but I thought I'd speak up just in case.

Very true. And they do, frequently.
Brain's not really functioning on the higher levels (read: or almost in any level) this morning. Meh. Since not much Natter been read so far, can't respond much, except saying that she has never ate PB&J sandwich. It just looked weird to her.
(Returns to read the Natter she missed so far and try to stop speaking in third person's body. Oh, Hunger Strike on the playlist! Yeah!!)
Edit: finished catching up in 95% so far so I just wanted to say late-happy-birthday to Vortex and full recovery to aurelia's mom. And I got my Dinosaur Jr. tickets, so I'm very happy (and yes, I know that I posted about it in Music as well, but I'm that happy).
Hi, Kat!
I need to be asleep, but I have lights on and haven't cleaned up after dinner or brushed my teeth. And I have a cute snuggly cat sleeping in my lap, so I can't get up.
Those mugshots made me laugh so much I cried.
Though admittedly, that's not hard to make me do.
Skipping to the end of Natter this morning was strange, with all the kosher mentiones.
Aunt Berta's Preserves (peach and berry of some kind, which apparently is Beth-El Foods where you are pretty jars. So yummy.
Kat, I don't think I ever saw those preserves in stores here, maybe they don't waste the lovely jars (they're so adorable!) on locals? Also, I'm foolishly pleased that they're so yummy, just because they're from around here.
Kosher glatt from kashrut.com--a fascinating read. Now I'm going through the humour section, and it's rapidly become a weird read.
Now I'm really curious - how did you get to this site? what's so interesting about it to non-practicing? Oh, and what's weird in the humor?
Also, one of the very few times I clicked on one of ita's links without any hesitation (um, well, it's one of the few times I clicked on one of ita's links at all. I'm of the weak heart and the feeble mind and less-chances-taking-links-wise).
And now I have to run, but will be quite pleased to go back and look for pictures of both Noah and Dylan. Yay pictures!
[Edit: also, a trivia fact: on May 19, 1997, the first Buffy thread started on TT. 11 (!) years ago. Next year, the thread will be bat-mitzva and will start to fast on Yom-kippur and not mix milk with its blood.]
how did you get to this site?
I think I googled to it, long ago. Not sure what for, but the URL is easy enough to remember...
what's so interesting about it to non-practicing?
It read like a legal document, with precedents set in different cases and different states. I had no idea that precedents were being set. And then it'd say something like "In the US lung adhesions usually do not occur on fowl" and I'm left wondering what's so special about American poultry, and how I'd even start to google that one.
And that's all on top of not knowing that glatt meant smooth, and that it was a, well, variant of kosherness.
and what's weird in the humor?
Its rhythm was very...rolling. More like amusement, than comedy. Not precisely sure how to explain it. It just got very gentle.
Also, for the record, while some of my links are very much not your style, I think those are pretty apparent. If I say something's lovely or beautiful or cute, it's Nilly-appropriate. I'd hate to think you missed things like the icebergs.
Though I'm still hurt that everyone missed the Isabella Rossellini insect sex stuff. It was very educational.
Saw Iron Man last night, and my Robert Downey Jr love is stronger than ever. And now I must run off to class!
