Perkins can you research for me if there is any of the leeching danger from old plastic things like tupperware pitchers and the like? I have a handy chart describing the various recyclable types, but it did not address the older plastic stuff.

Tupperware seems to think it is safe, [link] though of course they would. Other people seem to agree though. [link] [link] (except for Ice Prism pitchers).
It seems like it should be okay, especially if you don't microwave them.

Perkins, I would guess the pitcher I have is from the 70's or early 80's, but I also have current issue rubbermade storage stuff that I dishwasher adn ocassionally microwave.
