Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

unable to study because they'd be picturing gay sex acts in their mind.

People really think this?!? Because there are sometimes I don't work at my best because i am picturing gay sex acts, but I don't think anyone is seriously banning TV or Bands.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

msbelle, Is there a symbol on the bottom? [link]

Tupperware seems to think it is safe, [link] though of course they would. Other people seem to agree though. [link] [link] (except for Ice Prism pitchers).

It seems like it should be okay, especially if you don't microwave them.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Huh. I was just wondering the other day what had happened to Shania Twain, since she'd sort of disappeared:

This blog says to get rid of the older stuff: [link] So does this one, if it is made with polycarbonate. [link]

The current rubbermade stuff should be marked on the bottom, and they have a list of BPA/non-BPA products here [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ethan Persoff scanned a US Army rifle maintenance booklet from 1968 that instructs soldiers to treat their rifles like a woman. Art by the incomparable WIll Eisner.

Treat your rifle like a lady. With lots of illustrations.

eta: Aside from the sexism, there's some racist caricatures of North Vietnamese soldiers as well....

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Happy Birthday, Megan!

Happy Anniversary, Zmayhems!!

Here is my favorite bit from today's ruling of AWESOME:

"we now similarly recognize that an individual's homosexual orientation is not a constitutionally legitimate basis for withholding or restricting the individual's legal rights."

As someone else smarter than me said:

California is now treating sexual orientation as a "suspect classification", which means you better have a damn good reason for discriminating based upon it (which equates it to gender, race, etc.)

\\o/!
