I have that book! I enjoyed it.
It sounds like a simple thing but it really works. Write EVERYTHING down, from "buy brown belt that fits" to "start chapter 4 of new book" to "start calling mom more." For as long as the list is current your mind will buzz less with liminal reminders.
This is what I started doing this week, for work. Which is good, because it has been CRAZY. Unfortunately, in 3 days, I have 19 items and only 7.5 crossed off. But that's the crazy.
I have that book too! It's pretty good, though not phenomenal. Interesting, though.
Lives of the Monster Dogs
Disappointed me but now I don't remember why. I expected it to be a lot better than it was.

The idea isn't always to worry about how many you get crossed off. It's really to free up the brain space that is spent picking at you, reminding you to do X thing all the time.
My lists aren't organized at all except by date. Then on occasion, I go back and I read through and see what I have done and haven't.
Huh. For the first time in my life, I just got an email from somebody I graduated high school with. Haven't talked to her since graduation. She's asking me if I'm going to our 25th reunion this year.
Huh. I had a crush on her back in 9th grade. That was 28 years ago....

well, she emailed you, that means that you meant something to her. And it will probably be one of those situations where you confess your former crush, and she says "I liked you too! I wish you'd asked me out"
And then you want to kill something and spend the rest of the evening drinking moodily at the (cash) bar.

Hmmm... in the 9th grade she used to pick on me. Maybe she
did
have a crush on me....
Oh yeah, we went to grade school together. When I was in 2nd grade, I considered her one of my three girlfriends. (Don't remember what that was all about.) And when I was in third grade, I got a cow and named it after her. (She was not impressed.)

Do you speak from experience?
So far I've avoided going to all my reunions.

Hah! My great-grandfather named his cows (er...cattle?...wait? what's the difference?) after his daughters. It pissed them off!
