"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

are of different sizes.

I'm pretty sure raquetball has always been played on squash courts.

I should check that...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wikipedia says...

(British racketball is played in a 32-ft. long by 21-ft. wide squash court (eight feet shorter and one foot wider than the U.S. racquetball court)

Also...

The standard racquetball court is rectangular: 40 feet long, 20 feet wide, and 20 feet high.

Side Note: "Heather McKay, with her lengthy and absolute dominance of the game (she remained undefeated for 18 years during the 1960s and 1970s), is undoubtedly the greatest woman player of all time."

18 freakin' years! And I thought Dan Gable was dominant.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got my variance crisscrossed. That's what you get for only having played squash in one place and racquetball in the other. Still, size variance.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

40 feet long, 20 feet wide, and 20 feet high.

Huh. That's why the acoustics are so jacked up in there, huh? That plus all the hard surfaces.

Swouncing

And skipping again, ignoring all ongoing conversations, in order to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Megan E's birthday, as well as Hec and JZ's wedding anniversary.

Happy day to all! With lots of wishes for all good things.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Still, size variance.

But pretty negligible, when your opponent is a whale.

The Whale wouldn't have a lot of maneuverability on the squash court. Fill it with water, and it becomes a whole different game...

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I think Nutty can beat a whale in a racquetball court.

Let the record show that, if the court were not flooded, I would win hands down (if I were not crushed). If the court were flooded, I suspect I would lose. Then again, who plays racquetball in a flooded court?

Only cheetahs and whales.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Megan! Happy anniversary, Zmayhem!

Happy Anniversary to David and JZ!

Happy Birthday Megan!

I don't think Megan has been around her much lately, and I think she'd want me to point out that it's also International Fluevog Day: [link]
