I look more rad than Lutheranism

Tep, I'm not sure anyone's being allowed into Burma right now, but the Red Cross is accepting donations for China earthquake relief:

It looks like the Red Cross/Crescent *was* able to get aid to Burma, though that certainly may have changed in the past 3 days: [link]

I think I'll send $$ to Red Cross/Crescent without designating a recipient country.

I just don't know what else to do.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It looks like the Red Cross/Crescent *was* able to get aid to Burma

Oh, that's good to hear! My impression from the news reports was that the country was still completely locked down.

Me, too. That Red Cross article is from May 11, so it's possible that the Burmese government has gotten all loony since then and is turning away the RC. But if I donate to the RC without designating a recipient country, they can use it however works best.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Re the Obama shirt: The guy who did that is just a class act all the way. His witty, charming, not-at-all-sexist, why-are-y'all-so-humorless? riff on Hillary is even more offensive than the Obama shirt, what with the advocating murder and all, but it's a close call.

Also, the fucking poll crashed my browser. Fuck you, bar and grill guy.

Re the Obama shirt:

Someone said to me the other day (or it might have been a comment in LJ, in which case it was probably a Buffista, and I can't remember who, so I apologize) that they were surprised that I thought race would be a significant issue in this campaign.

All I can do is point to that goddamn t-shirt, without comment.
