And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

ION, I don't like my new transitions lenses. The woman at Lenscrafters told me they would get "pretty dark" and they do not. So I need to stop by there at lunch and see how much it will cost me to swap them for the expensive special-order kind. (And also whether that will involve giving them my glasses for 2 weeks, which, um, won't work. Because then I won't be able to see.)

1) re: Obama shirt - I hope the Curious George people see that and go to sue the makers.

2) Jesse - that would confuse me to no end.

3) LOLCats save the morning

4) I am not much for saying things like this, but the world is all out of balance. It's freaking me out. Still glad I stopped watching news.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Tep, I'm not sure anyone's being allowed into Burma right now, but the Red Cross is accepting donations for China earthquake relief:

It looks like the Red Cross/Crescent *was* able to get aid to Burma, though that certainly may have changed in the past 3 days: [link]

I think I'll send $$ to Red Cross/Crescent without designating a recipient country.

I just don't know what else to do.

Oh, that's good to hear! My impression from the news reports was that the country was still completely locked down.

Me, too. That Red Cross article is from May 11, so it's possible that the Burmese government has gotten all loony since then and is turning away the RC. But if I donate to the RC without designating a recipient country, they can use it however works best.
