I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Was the toy boat thing back on Salon? Because then I feel old. Of course, there will always be kprinkle, which happened way back when my job was so easy that I actually had time to make a spreadsheet to try and help. Hmmm Now I am feeling nostalgic, even though I make a lot more money!

I'm watching a NOVA on a fistula clinic in Ethiopia. Good GOD. It's heartbreaking.

seekrit to lisah: I really hope you've been to your front door already tonight. Just making sure there aren't any sticky fingers about. Other than yours.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

These captive pandas in China are OK! Also, cute. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I just futzed with my resume and sent it to a recruiter, and now I'm all nervous. This wasn't even about an actual job! I am a spazz. Or non-offensive similar.

Punishingly Intricate

seekrit to lisah:

I KNOW! I was just coming here to say that you are the SWEETEST! Banana bread for breakfast!!!

Hee! I was a little worried something would happen to it before you got home.

I actually had the thought while I was making the bread, not at all prompted by my "I feel guilty post." I'd have given you a whole loaf, but my coworkers were particularly burdened today, so you got screwed. I'm glad there was ANY left.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

ION, I will never climb Everest. Or Nanda Devi. Frankly, I have no mountaineering drive and mourn for the price the mountain and environs can pay for the first world's drives to reach the peaks. Too lazy, me. But I get it. I was raised to get it. I'd love to see it, and I won't.

I just really hope dad doesn't punt on his hopeful trips to Nepal/Tibet and/or Mongolia in the near future. I'd love to see those places, but I'd love more for him to see those places. It means more to him, and he's got less time left than I. Hell, I have 33 years on him! eta: oh hell, this is what parents think. For their kids. I do it for my parents, all the time. Hell.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Things Younger than John McCain.

That's hysterical. But McCain is positively antediluvian so it should not surprise how many things are younger than he.

I'd love to go to Nepal or Tibet. But not for a long long long time.

In other new, I'm teaching summer school from 9-5 for 4 weeks this summer. YEAH!
