well I slept in and decided to skip church. still not as much sleep as I really wanted. The staying up late has REALLY got to stop.
My mother's day was all yesterday - starting with mac getting me my present at 6:09 rather than my requested "play quietly with some toys until 7".
Now to salvage a day:
MUSTS: shower, playground, library, grocery store, homework, laundry
Possibilities: Mending, ebaying, vacuuming, clothes shifting
Timelies all!
Huh, new format for the board. It's a little hard to read....
to all the mom's happy mother's day
the board is shinny
money management is all about skimping on the things you don't want so you can get what you need and some of the stuff you want. IOW, GO Trapeze
Finally watched Blink (thanks Tom Scola) - ok, creepy.
I like that McDonald's sandwich.
But it's not as good as a chik-fil-a.
Chik-fil-a is really good, but they only have those at the mall here, as far as I know.
I'm trying to decide if I should try this recipe from Sothernfood.com. Does beef, apples, onions, curry powder, cinnomon and cloves and lemon juice sound like a good combo or just odd?

I dunno, typo...somehow with beef that just sounds weird to me. It sounds like it'd make more sense with pork, or chicken.
Lemon juice and beef? I think that's a little weird to me. I don't see the benefits of the lemon juice making it past the beef.
The lemon juice doesn't sound weird to me except there's way too much of it and it ought to be added at the end - adding at the beginning will cook out all of the brightness it adds to the curry, which defeats the purpose of including it in the first place.
I'm also not sure what the apples are doing in there. I wouldn't dismiss it on principle, but there are much better "curry" recipes out there.
I think there were apples in my family's supermarket curry powder chicken curry in the 80s, but we never did beef.
