Coding and Sleeping

Children have to be sources of joy because otherwise they would be left in baskets to be raised by wolves.

That's how Rome got made.

Go Team Scola!

I have to admit I love having kids although sometimes I'm sort of jealous of the grandparents who get to have the kids and then give them back.

I don't know about my weekend, Sunday is pretty much tied up with Mother's day stuff. I'll probably bake a cake for Mother's day, more for the kids than anyone else. Saturday probably will just be cleaning up around the house and routine errands. I'd like to take the kids to a park or something, but that will have to wait until Em gets her cast off otherwise I'll be spending the whole time telling her not to do things.

why does the phone ring off the hook when my boss is not here?

Your boss has gotten people to call and check up on you?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, Kathy. That does sound scary.

no idea what's the what for Mother's Day,

I heard mac might have a secret in his room.

Go Tom!!

My plans for the weekend involve excavating my apartment, going to the library, and sleeping. Possibly making soup and/or bread. Actually, if I make both, there's a meal right there!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nice work, Tom, nice work.

I have no plans for this weekend. Colin leaves town tomorrow morning and I completely failed to see him and I'm sour. I've been trying to take a friend out for a birthday dinner for three weeks and it keeps getting rescheduled and I'm sour. So I'll probably do my bare minimum of health-seeking and just sleep the rest of the time. Maybe tidy a bit. No urgent laundry need. I have clothes. They're just boring.

It's not that easy to get to be a grandparent without being a parent first, so you're well on your way!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So what are people doing this weekend?

I need to go feed my friend's cats a couple times while she's out of town. I also need to write. Laundry. Scrub the bathroom. Call my mom on Sunday.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'll probably bake a cake for Mother's day, more for the kids than anyone else.

Gud, you are made of win.

Plans for the weekend: Coffee and/or brunch with one or possibly two Buffistas Saturday, followed by laundry. If Hec takes Emmett out someplace, I may try to watch some more SPN S1 (Emmett has declared it Too Scary For Him, so I save it for when he's away).

Sunday: Church, then ????. There's some kind of Mother's Day moms for peace event happening in the East Bay that my mom wants to go to, which I will probably opt for. There will be mimosas at Emmett's Little League game, but, since there's an entire summer of tournament league play ahead, I feel mildly baseball-fried and may opt out just this once.

Yay Tom! The brownstone tour sounds lovely, and you sound like a most excellent person to ramble around exploring NYC with.
