Lorne: My little prince. Oh…what did they do to you? Angel: Nina…tried to…eat me. Lorne: Oh, you're--medic! You're gonna make it Angel. Just don't stop fighting. Doctor! Is there a Gepetto in the house?

So the shelf above the toilet strikes again. This morning, I accidentally flushed a bottle of Lancome moisturizer.

I have trained myself to keep the toilet lid down because I am such a fumble-fingers in the morning that I've dunked everything from allergy pills to jewelry to my toothbrush.

There's only so much indignity I can stand before coffee.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So what are people doing this weekend?

I'm getting my hair cut, deep cleaning at least one room, and catching up on my sleep.

My mother accidentally flushed a deoderant container that way.

It resulted in them having to get a new toilet.

(It got wedged, they had to call a plumber. In the process of unseating the toilet, the bowl cracked.)

So I've rarely had occasion to use a fax machine until today. I fell into that experience gap where it was more efficacious to hand deliver./post or email. Weird. Anyway, did you know that if you ship anything less than $1600 to Canada (not sure if that is US or CDN) it is delivered before it clears customs? As in, the item was delivered, and has since been returned to us, a WEEK ago and it is only now clearing customs US to Canada today.

I have also tried to keep the toilet lid down since I hit a bottle of contact solution that was on the toilet back as I was flushing, so it was immediately flushed so that it lodged just out of reach. I was having a party. I had an out of town visitor. The plumber had to take the toilet apart.

hip deep in pie

I am also getting my hair cut, going to the farmer's market and the open house of the local public gardens, going to a friend's apartment warming/birthday party, and I will have to tidy the house at some point. And do some gardening if it's not raining.

as I was flushing, so it was immediately flushed so that it lodged just out of reach.

This was my problem, it fell in mid-flush.

All these plumbing stories are freaking me out.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So what are people doing this weekend?

I have another date! We're going on the Brooklyn Heights brownstone tour this Saturday.

On Sunday, my Mom is coming down to visit. It seems strange that my Mom would just show up on some random weekend, though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So what are people doing this weekend?

I'm letting DH pamper me for Mother's Day. I have hinted strongly that a Wii would be an appropriate gift, but all I'm really hoping for is brunch.

Work is driving me up a fucking wall right now. Can someone call my cell with a "family emergency" so I can go home?
