Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, steampunk does not cover Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic style. I will grant the possibility of post-apocalyptic timing, but it's still a Victorian/Edwardian feel. Not mid-late 20th century.

Nifty that they have all them black folk steampunking it up.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It is that rarity, a phenomenon with the potential to capture a wider audience, offering a genteel and disciplined alternative to both the slack look of hip-hop and the menacing spirit of goth.

Jilli is "menacing"?

Theo - I have some T'eff. I got it at a local Health Food Store - It's Bob's brand. I had zero luck doing injera with it the one time I tried. But I have a different recipe to try out, so I hold hope.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Even Tomorrowland is steampunk now: [link] The original concept turned retro, so they went way back, I guess.

geez - the crap I find cleaning out things. I've been dealing with magazines for the last week, mostly old Budget Living and ReadyMade with the odd craft mag thrown in, but tonight I found the Village Voice 2000 Best of New York article. Oct, 2000! I haven't gone out much at all since 2002, why the hell do I have that. TRASH!

The 6 Creepiest Comic Book Characters of All Time

Uh, seriously? Ultimate Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are getting all Flowers in the Attic? WHAT.

Although this made me laugh and laugh, and if I hadn't just changed my tagline, I might have to use this:

There has to come a time in your life--possibly in the middle of porking your twin sister while Wolverine watches from the bushes--where you just have to take a step back and wonder at what point you turned into goddamn Caligula.

Anybody else watching Colbert? I am totally cracking up here.

Hil, yes! I was just going to post that. That was hysterical. The bleeping, and then the slo-mo replay.

Har!

I was already laughing when he started saying, "The real question is, how long will two grown men keep..."
