Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Got any Betamax?

8-tracks?

Oh hush, you. When Pete moved to the States, he bought himself a laserdisc player. We accumulated a stack of laserdiscs, and have now almost completely replaced everything on DVD. But I'm NOT getting rid of the Super Deluxe Box Set Nightmare Before Christmas laserdisc. That one stays.

Our wings are not tired

I'm in the same boat with Laserdiscs. I have a crate with about 100 of them out in the garage. I have something like 6 of them in the house that I won't part with. I have the same Nightmare Before Christmas laserdisc boxed set. I also have one for Amadeus.

Somehow I knew you would have a similar problem. I just don't know where to take them to sell them off.

I keep meaning to haul mine down to Amoeba Records.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, I didn't know about the Derby. I forgot to tivo it and so I didn't realize. I'm kinda glad I didn't watch it now. So sad.

And in other news, omg, this game is going into quadruple overtime! It's a good game, fun to watch, but I am so not this much invested in it. But now I've watched this far, so I have to keep watching. Surely someone will keel over from exhaustion shortly and allow someone else to score.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

So up until about 30 minutes ago, I'm lying in bed, about to watch a little QI before I drift off. Then I hear 5 gunshots and I freeze, thinking about grabbing the dogs and running into the closet. Then I hear a series of crashes so loud it rattled the house. I go outside, and neighbors are beginning to come out of their houses. The girl across the street thought someone was breaking into her house.

There was apparently some sort of car chase between some groups of guys, with guns it seems. They hit at least 4 cars (the one immediately across my street has the front driver's side completely smashed and the tire/axel totally fucked) before pushing two parked cars up onto the lawns they were parked in front of. Two jumped out and hauled the driver out, and ran away.

Last I heard from our neighborhood busybody is that they were stopped several blocks away.

When did my quiet little hood turn into a scene from Grand Theft Auto?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Good god, DJ -- that's more excitement in a night than anyone deserves.

Trudy, are you moving? Did I miss something?

On Wednesday, both of my final projects for my courses are due! So I've been skipping like unto a Mad Thing What Skips, so I'm sure I've missed other important updates on what's happening in BuffistaLand. (LJ is a lost cause with me, alas.)

The good news is that both projects are going very well, and I probably don't have enough time between now and Wednesday to finish either of them properly....

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

(Hey! I skipped some)

God.

Woke up after 5 hours of sleep, because I came back kinda lateish from a great show of an artist I love, love, love.

And then the BackOffice I'm working on decided to flip. So it's about 5-6 hours now that I can't work. I cleaned the house a little bit, went to do some groceries shopping, and now I'm doing Crazy Fan Stuff (as in, trying to assemble entire show out of YouTube videos). But I'm mostly tired, and just don't want to work late because I can't work now.

And the show. What a great show. I will write more when my mind will clear, perhaps with some sleeping hours, because I have some cross fandom thoughts about the way I react to some messages when it comes from music and TV.

God. Fix the damn BackOffice already.

Edit: Nice. I've been told now that it's not gonna be solved for the time being. Umm, hello, what I'm supposed to do now? I'm taking Wednesday and Thursday off, not Monday and Tuesday, remember?
