Good god, DJ -- that's more excitement in a night than anyone deserves.
Trudy, are you moving? Did I miss something?
On Wednesday, both of my final projects for my courses are due! So I've been skipping like unto a Mad Thing What Skips, so I'm sure I've missed other important updates on what's happening in BuffistaLand. (LJ is a lost cause with me, alas.)
The good news is that both projects are going very well, and I probably don't have enough time between now and Wednesday to finish either of them properly....
(Hey! I skipped some)
God.
Woke up after 5 hours of sleep, because I came back kinda lateish from a great show of an artist I love, love, love.
And then the BackOffice I'm working on decided to flip. So it's about 5-6 hours now that I can't work. I cleaned the house a little bit, went to do some groceries shopping, and now I'm doing Crazy Fan Stuff (as in, trying to assemble entire show out of YouTube videos). But I'm mostly tired, and just don't want to work late because I can't work now.
And the show. What a great show. I will write more when my mind will clear, perhaps with some sleeping hours, because I have some cross fandom thoughts about the way I react to some messages when it comes from music and TV.
God. Fix the damn BackOffice already.
Edit: Nice. I've been told now that it's not gonna be solved for the time being. Umm, hello, what I'm supposed to do now? I'm taking Wednesday and Thursday off, not Monday and Tuesday, remember?
Liese, you can probably see the race all over but there is video at the Blood Horse site.
Jessica, I hope you're just taking ordinary precautions and not reacting to a particular threat.
shir, I linked to banana bread recipe.
Yikes DJ - that's scary.
I am TI-RED. Too many nights last week of 5 hours sleep. My legs are like jello.
Hey Sumi - I got a few comments on the most recent batch I uploaded from someone whose name I didn't recognize. They were fairly innocuous (though they were in uncapitalized netspeak, which is how I knew it wasn't a Buffista under a different name), but two of the comments were on bath pics (bubble bath - nothing visible below the waist) and it kind of skeeved me.
It won't stop me from posting guest-access links here (which is public but fairly self-limiting), but they won't be randomly winding up on Flickr's front page.
For example...
And one more!
[eta: And if someone who's not a Flickr member could let me know if the guest pass links allow commenting, that'd be great. Just curious.]
I friended you but via my yahoo name - shall I email that to you?
This is the dumbest question, Jessica, but how do I add you as a contact? I seem to be a technological defective person today.
Also, I have decided that I really, really, really need to stop saying things are "retarded". Are there any bad associations with "asinine' or "nincompoop" that I should know about.
Oh, my god, IT department, what did you DO?
And did you have to do it on a Monday morning?
I friended you but via my yahoo name - shall I email that to you?
No need - there's only the one request in there now, and if I squint I can tell it's your name.
Sophia, if you click on the arrow next to my name (or anyone's) a list should pop up with "Add as a contact" next to it.
Wow- I am really beginning to feel like my grandma trying to operate the VCR with all this newfangled technology! My Flickr name contains my board last name, if you don't know it is me!
