Natter 58: Let's call Venezuela!

I'd end up slapping the canvasses up anywhere. But that's cause I'm pretty much out of wallspace, so lately stuff gets slapped up wherever it's got room. I really should buy a house. I've got a huge Mucha ad(I love Mucha- I've cut up calendars and put the images in frames) still in a roll because I simply don't have room. And the gorgeous quilt I'd like to use on my bed but fear MK's destructive habits and I just don't have non-sun exposed walls for it. Need more walls.
Honestly, one of the things I love about the gallery I bought my bat skull (um, think I might have a hard time giving it away) is that it resembles my ideal place. A cacophony of images and things. My things have personal meaning, either gifts from loved ones, from my travels or friends' artwork, but it is still the jumbled hominess. Stuff in my house IS me. Idealized and realistic. Though I don't count the cathair.
aurelia, I do. Near a door going into the dining room. Which is where I think they will end up. Probably right near a corner bookshelf.
Speaking of bookshelves, I need to buy straps for the bookcases so I can begin unpacking books!
sara, are you really thinking time for a house?
I have done so much laundry today, including washing new sheets and line drying them. I think this summer we are going to try to line dry most of our laundry. I have to say, I HATE how stiff it makes the clothes feel, but I love the way it makes sheets in particular smell.
Can you do a mix of line and air-drying to make the fabrics feel better, Kat?
I really should have done laundry today. Oh, well.
I think I have stated my unhealthy love of line drying. SHould I ever move where I have a yard, I will have some clothes lines.
sara - I can maybe come down this month for a house hunting day. ijs.
ita, probably. The truth is that things line dry super fast and some things, like the comforter and the sheets dry faster than in the dryer. so I'm not sure if I could grab them quick enough to get them softened.
Line drying diapers makes me feel bad. Granted, the sun bleaches stains out, but then they are stiff as denim on the baby's bits. Poor little man.
I also need a gift for mother's day for my mom. Any ideas? Maybe one of these with Noah and Grace's names.
I like the idea of line drying. My allergist would have apoplexy.
I stopped on the way home yesterday to admire a rainbow. I also spent some time in Oz Park (also on the flickr page). It was a theme commute for me.
OH! Pretty rainbow!
Yay, the allergens (especially the pollen in our backyard, but the taint from the nearby McDonalds can't be that great either) are killers too.
I too am stumped for a Mother's Day gift. Mom doesn't wear bracelets, but those are very nice. I have chocolates to send grandma/gg.
I was stumped by a weird calorie count on some juice I have, but the nutritional info was for the concentrate, not the reconsituted juice, I was all "How can this be 120 cal/oz?!?!". der.
now to bed.
I have an entire wall that I can't do anything with. It's slanted. Looks really cool, but can't hang anything on it. I guess I'll turn it into an accent wall.
I rearranged my living room tonight. I'm not sure I like it. I also have to figure out what to do with/where to hang my photos. I have a variety of friend and family photos in various frames that used to be on top of my entertainment center. I've gotten rid of the entertainment center, but cant find a good place for the photos.
hivemind question -- In moving, I found several disposable cameras that I never developed. Their expiration dates are as old as 2001. I'm curious as to what is on them, but don't want to spend money to develop them if they're not going to work because of age. Is it worth it?
