Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

This conversation reminds me reminds me of my conjecture from a while back that a Crown Royal and Royal Crown Cola seems on first pass as if it ought to be a high class drink, but I doubt that it actually is.

If a drink is associated with eating a Moon Pie, I don't think it has any claim to being high class.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, high class is not the right term. High falutin'. perhaps?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Luckily I'm a little in awe of my ability to have bacon just about any time I want. It's all that keeps me in check. I have used bacon fat as a popcorn topping, though.

So I ditched GA last night for CSI, but, dude. I remember why I'd ditched CSI in the first place. What random pontificating and random randomness!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, who has their foot resting on the Time Brake? There's no way it could be only 10:41.

edit to change 10:40 to 10:41

Punishingly Intricate

What are people's weekend plans?

Today I plan on recovering from drinking too much white wine last night by staying in and watching tv and going to bed early. (After FINALLY getting my bangs trimmed right after work thank god)

Tomorrow I ride in the morning, pick up my guitarist from the bus from NY, take him to our drummer's house to practice all together for the first time in months aieee, then get ready for our show tomorrow night than Rock for the Feast! Please let people come and buy lots of raffle tix and make us the money we need to raise!!!

Sunday probably will be raining so yoga and I hope some cleaning. Working some. And talking to my new Chicago friend in the evening as is our tradition of three weeks (squeeeeeee!).

Sous Kitchen tomorrow morning. Other than that, and my standard hikes, I have no idea.

ER visit either this evening or tomorrow, maybe therapeutica massage tomorrow, depending, and hopefully seeing Colin's place Sunday.

Or maybe I'll just stay in, curled in a fetal ball. That's what I want to do right now, actually.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

What are people's weekend plans?

Tomorrow evening I'm flying down to Modesto, where Ex-Army Brother and his family live, because Mom and Georgia Brother and SIL are flying out for a visit. It's...intense. Mom's cancer has metastasized, so there's always the awareness that any time I see her may be the last time.

I'll be there till Tuesday. It'll just be me, and I'm both dreading and looking forward to the trip. It'll be good to see family, and much as I love DH and Annabel, I'll enjoy the solitude of traveling alone and generally getting a break from everyday responsibilities. But there's a lot of darkness there too, you know?
