I miss my laptop so very very much.
Not nuch of a drinbker anymore but if I do, it's bourbon or tequila. No nasty gin. We hates it.

I also adhere firmly to Daisy Jane's belief that a drink made out of vodka, vermouth and either an olive or an onion may be a delightful libation but it is not, strictly speaking, a martini.
Shit. Don't even get me started on the chocolate martinis. Not a martini! Mine (back when I was allowed to have them) had the vermouth rolled around the glass, Bombay Saphire and a squirt of olive juice shaken and poured into the glass with the ice crystals on top, garnished with almond stuffed olives.
Damn. Now I want one.
I finally got my laptop back from the skeevy repair place. When did computer shit get so shady? Unlike their promises, they never called to tell me it was ready. I showed up 1 minute before closing and waited FORTY FIVE MINUTES for them to just finish up.
And then I had to pay them with my debit card because their credit card machine can't handle transactions over $100. Oh, there's something behind that.
But the Powerbook's back! And now it will play with my server! Yay! It's like a sleepover with printed circuit boards.
Citrus vodka, a splash of real lemon juice, sparkling water over ice. Garnish with lemon or lime.
Sounds yum. I don't like gin, so no martinis for me. I like the olives, though.
This conversation reminds me reminds me of my conjecture from a while back that a Crown Royal and Royal Crown Cola seems on first pass as if it ought to be a high class drink, but I doubt that it actually is.

...sounds a lot like my drink (citron and soda with a twist). Now I'm wanting a gimlet though...
So, I could go see a lot of people tonight. I miss people, because I've been out of town. BUT, it would require me sitting through spoken word, which I am bad at and hate. And vowed after last month that I really shouldn't do it again. What to do???
go late. miss the spoken word.
Mister Kitty is > 15. I hadn't done the math before, but was reviewing records for other reasons. That's OLD for a cat. Even older for a cat with diabetes. Makes me nervous. Devi is 11 now. Don't like feline's shorter lifespans. Always was aware of it, but in denial Poop.
CARRIER's new dads in absentia are making me cry.
Okay, that Spencer steak I bought on the way home from work was WAY too expensive. I should pay more attention. But the result? With the mushrooms and the spinach and the wine and the random ricotta on top? That's my idea of low-carbing it.
Which isn't on purpose. If I was allowed wheat I'd have couscous with it. Quinoa just doesn't make the cut. But it's possible I haven't yet had the epiphanic preparation yet.
Typing! On the laptop! In front of the TV!
What is Carrier? I've seen a few people mention it...
Vortex is SMART! I will go late. Especially cause it starts at 8pm and it's 7:30 and I am not ready to go. Excellent plan.
You don't like quinoa, ita? I love quinoa. Mostly for the texture, I don't think it tastes, particularly. Though I haven't tried the red quinoa I bought the other day.
