Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I just buy a new watch. Because everytime I replace the battery, it dies again within a month or so. It's not the battery. It's me and my watch-poisoning talent.

Word. Though mine is not a watch-poisoning talent. It's really that it's easier to buy a new one than to make a special trip to get it replaced.

My superpower is pretty lame.

I'm experienced in replacing watch batteries (my dad taught us) but it's pointless. I can usually get a couple years out of a new watch.

(Watch the one I've had maybe 4 months die tomorrow.)

My other superpower appears to be a talent in picking bananas that peel defectively.

You and your long distances!

Is it ever going to stop raining today? I'd check the Sun's weather page except our network is messed up such that a lot of the internet is dark. And emails are taking on the order of an hour to reach their destination. Even when it is just a cc to yourself. So now I'm wondering if I actually sent an email or if I accidentally deleted it.

I'm typoing every.damned.thing today...

As far as I can tell, no. According to NOAA it's chances of showers through 2 pm tomorrow. gloomy!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Blech. I was going to go grocery shopping today, but it's raining too hard for me to feel like walking to the store. I've got tofu and a few vegetables, so I can make something with that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My cousin spent many years working at a watch repair concession inside Sears, so I have a soft spot for them. In case anyone was wondering.

Compassionately intolerant

It's me and my watch-poisoning talent.

I seem to stop watches just by my very magnetic messed upness. I WISH I had one of those bods that can stop a clock. But alas, no.

The last watch I remember wearing was an Alice in Wonderland watch I had in middle school that came with a cool Alice figurine.

Now? I just ask. Everybody has a cell phone with a clock in it!
