Ugh.
I'm in Denver at a conference. Which I am presenting at but apparently not registered for. My flight landed at 12:25 AM, but we were trapped on the plane until 1:00 because they couldn't get the jetway to work right. This was especially troubling because my seat was directly across from the bathroom in the back. It was like sitting in the back of a Greyhound Bus.
The upside was I was able to get one of two cabs and get to the hotel. Which is a huge blessing.
I have a session to attend then lunch then I'm presenting then I'm going home. I miss home.
Oh dear. I don't know if they can get my armoir into the new apartment. Movers came at 7:30, a full hour early.
I'm discombobulated. Ruby is safely stowed away in my neighbor's apartment, where it's quiet and there is a mesmerizing fishy on the counter...i sure hope it's there when I go in to take her home.
I can't believe how friggin traumatic this all is. I feel like one of those collectors, and right now people are taking all my stuff.
Kristen took me to IKEA to get shades and roman blinds. I was soup-for-brains. I just pointed at what I liked and she dealt with the fixtures and measuring.
If I had no friends, I don't know how I would do all this shit.
Skipping to post that, according to Kat "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Apr 26, 2005 9:57:12 pm PDT today is Isaac's birthday. Can you believe he's already three whole years old?
Happy birthday, big boy! And lots of wishes for your mom and all your family!
When trying to empty my shredder, I managed to spill a whole bunch of shredder confetti all over my carpet. Trying to clean should not end up making more of a mess.

but it often does.
happy birthday Issac - who is growing too fast.
Isaac being three implies Frances is way old indeed!
Stopped into a random place to get a pedicure. Most of the west side seems to have had the same idea. Maybe next time I'll be less random.
I'm dying to know how Allyson is doing!
ita, does this mean no pedicure was had?
I'm in the airport now. Yay? Actually, yes. Yay! Free WiFi!
I think I'm going to save up my pennies for an iPhone because schlumping my laptop around is no fun.
I just hope that Allyson has AC where she is. It is 95 degrees out and entirely too hot to be moving.
No, I'm having it. But I feel like cattle. I just need to get this done, make a quick supermarket run, and then pray I don't need an ER.
