I assume that these pictures are taken during the dryest part of the year, when there's not nearly the current -- or the depth of water -- that would be a problem, at least with care. You notice that just about all the "swimmers" are flat out, which might indicate that they're in about a foot of water....
Still, I think I'd rather climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.

And the recently published “Joseph and Chico: The Life of Pope Benedict XVI as Told by a Cat” (Ignatius Press, 2008) is a children’s book written by Chico with the “aid” of an Italian journalist, Jeanne Perego.
The book, which has been translated into 10 languages and has sold 12,000 copies in the United States, tells of young Joseph Ratzinger’s childhood love for all furry animals and of the adult cardinal’s deep bond with the narrator, who lives in the Bavarian village of Pentling.
“When I’d see that the shades were up next door, I knew he was home,” Chico writes. “Then I’d race over and rub up against his legs. What wonderful times we’ve spent together!”
You notice that just about all the "swimmers" are flat out, which might indicate that they're in about a foot of water....
If you watch the video you'll see that the pool's deep enough to jump into cannon-ball style and submerge yourself, but the lip where most of the tourists are hanging out is very wide. Some of the guides look like they're dealing with maybe six inches.
If you skip to the end of the second video clip you can see one guy backflipping into the far end of the pool.
That totally tensed me up.

what i want to know is who figured out that the devil's pool was "safe"? i mean, did some guy try to commit suicide by going over the falls and was thwarted by this?
