You notice that just about all the "swimmers" are flat out, which might indicate that they're in about a foot of water....
If you watch the video you'll see that the pool's deep enough to jump into cannon-ball style and submerge yourself, but the lip where most of the tourists are hanging out is very wide. Some of the guides look like they're dealing with maybe six inches.
If you skip to the end of the second video clip you can see one guy backflipping into the far end of the pool.
That totally tensed me up.
That pool is crazy. No way I'm ever swimming in it. I'd rather jump out of an airplane.

But how doe you feel about cats writing books about Popes?
Timelies all
My folks are back home, thank goodness. (I love my folks, but....)
How terrifying is that?
that pool makes me insanely happy.
the backflipping? nsm. only because I am a klutz.
back to looking at pool photos.
what i want to know is who figured out that the devil's pool was "safe"? i mean, did some guy try to commit suicide by going over the falls and was thwarted by this?
Hey, I've been there! But I didn't go swimming. Stuck to the bridge and trails.
A bunch of photos of octopus kites: [link]
They're rather pretty.
Those aren't octopus kites, they're flying spaghetti monsters!
I thought they were going to be octopus
kitties
at first.
