I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Swouncing

t Doing my almost-usual (how sad) skipping-and-intterupting ongoing conversations I know nothing about

I'm so glad I got a minute in front of a computer today, Pessakh and all, because, according to the Buffista Calnedar, today is beth's birthday.

Happy birthday, beth! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Also, a good minimally-stressed Pessakh, for those who celebrate it, and a great day-before-weekend, and weekend, of course, for simply everybody, with birthdays or holidays, or without.

OK, it's time to check my cake again - my mom worked her oven too much, so the cake only had a place on top, which almost burned her upper crust, and left her middle a bit too liquid-y. I'm trying to fix that - wish me luck!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, earthquake people, I hope you're safe and alright.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it's beth's birthday. Happy birthday!

Also, my sister is here for Passover, after she stayed for another 24 hellish hours in her base. My dad drove to pick her up, since every few hours the army changed the vacation policy. She's sleeping now, and spent most of the time yelling at us, bus clearly happy to be here and yelling at us. We could hardly keep a straight face. It's a great feeling.

And now, I have to go outside and take pictures of flowers. Don't ask.

Edit: Good luck Nilly, and Happy Passover if you celebrate it!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies, beth!!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Did not wake up for the earthquake. Nor, to the best of my knowledge, did the dog.

New Madrid! New Madrid!!

Note that, being Illinois, that's pronounced New MAD-rid. Though they keep showing it on the map, I've yet to discover what cracked out pronunciation the state has come up with for the epicenter town of West Salem.

Happy Birthday, beth of the excellent profession and great name!

And me for erythromycin

I did not know this. That's the one I can't tolerate.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

West Salem.

That'll be Whist SayLEEM to you, missy.

I am searching for the proper opportunity to say, to somebody who celebrates Passover, "All your chometz are belong to me," but that opportunity has not yet arisen. Just, let the record show: I stand at the ready to eat people's cookies for them.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Considering that the last big New Madrid earthquake pretty much destroyed the capital city of the territory, Kaskaskia (it redirected the Mississippi River right through the middle of town, leaving most of it the only town in Illinois west of the Mississippi), I figure we have the right to pronounce New Madrid any damn way we want! (Of course, that doesn't account for us mangling the rest of our cities names--Cairo, Marsailles, etc.)

Oh, and happy birthday, beth!!!
