For those of you who enjoy tofu, what do you like to marinate it in?
Rice wine vinegar.
I also put it into things that would be fine without it, like tomato sauce, although that is not really marinating. And also, technically, not marinara. Anyway, it is a way to sneak nutrition into my crappy diet.
Hey, does Lea & Perrin's still do those "Once, you were dry. I made you juicy!" commercials?
No, but Babes in Toyland should totally steal that marketing slogan.
I am sarameg.
I am civil many times I probably should not be. But I did think I was at least clear in not wanting any more contact with him, and I've ignored every missive of his since that evening. I hate that dinner that turns out to have been a date in his head at the best of times, and when you add that to being the un-fun sort of sociopath? I get very steely and polite and crisp.

See, that's exactly what I thought every time I saw the thing. Especially the proud, stentorian tones of the narrator guy. Not unlike that galactic robot in the Venture Brothers'
Twenty Years to Midnight.
"IGNORE ME!!"
Oh! That reminds me! I've picked up Season 2 of the Venture Brothers from Amazon. Such fun! It took a moment to twig that the reason some of the eps were familiar is because I watched them at your place.
I keep trying to think of tofu as a good idea. And then someone sneaks it in when I'm not expecting it and it startles me. It's not bad, it's just texture in weird places.
ION, my cat quacks like a duck. No, really. Ever since the pollen started, she's been snotty. And quacks as often as she sneezes. It isn't her meow getting garbled, it is a ...quack. Makes me laugh every time. And the other one, oy. He's proving that cats really are mentally toddlers. With the NEEDY and the boundary pushing.

Heh. We all say that around the house fairly often.

Right on! I also made Emily watch a lot of episodes at my house. New season in June!

Oh yeah, I get it (I hope my hypothetical reaction didn't come out as a judgment. Merely an acknowledgment of a button.) I do that for a lot of other things that would send someone else storming out the door. Some things freeze you with W.T.F., others send you straight to knocking the chair over incoherently ranting.
Sexism freezes me. It's like a mental loop gets started
did I just hear? No, really, are you sure? Really, could they really have said...what? Oh my fucking god, for real?
and repeat. Which results in icy and polite as my brain reels.
Oh thank god.
My Tivo is finally updating. I was beginning to get the shakes.

Sometimes we have to force our Tivo to update. You must apply the spurs!
Congratulations, JZ! May the new employer be more worthy of your awesomenessity than the old one!
