Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

They filmed a whole John Waters movie in my neighborhood! Not on my current street though, it's a little too classy looking I guess to fit the theme.
Also, you're light on Marvel there. No Spidey love? Dr. Strange? Walt Simonson's Thor? (or Beta Ray Bill?)
Also, none of the Endless and no John Constantine.
They shoot in my neighborhood all the time: [link]
Jeesh, the Endless were all whiners...
(ducks and covers...)
Was it the Cerebus version of the Endless that had, er, Swoon and Snuff and... can't remember any more, but yeah?
3) Batman
Do you have a preferred incarnation?
As far as...comics v. tv v. movies? Or Bruce Wayne vs. Azbats? Golden Age vs. Silver Age vs. Dark and Gritty Modern Age?
I suppose I'm most fond of the recent incarnations of the Bruce Wayne Batman, post-Dark Knight Returns. (We shall not speak of DK2. Ptui! Frank Miller is dead to me.) (Though I did like Year One.) I kind of like his interactions with the Justice League, how they finally managed to justify having a (gifted) mere mortal as part of the group. (In my mind his role is to make sure they don't go overboard. "I can kill each and every one of you. Yes, even Superman. Especially Superman.")

Never been a big Marvel fan. To me DC has always had the more iconic characters, the WAY bigger-than-life heroes and that appeals to me. There's nothing wrong with the more human superheroes and mutants that Marvel has, I just prefer the Big Guys (and Gals) of the DC 'verse.
Spider-Man is always a joy, though his placement on the Most Awesomest list has probably suffered by his "Season of Dallas" story line in recent comics. Never that big into Thor even when Simonson was having fun, turning him into a frog and junk. Beta Ray Bill was fun.
Dr. Strange always kind of annoyed me to tell you the truth, though I could never put my finger on why.
The Fantastic Four has its place in an Awesomest pantheon for innovation if for nothing else. The "super-group as barely functional and often dysfunctional family rather than association of lantern-jawed and heavy-bosomed do-gooders acting out of pure altruism" is a blast. Having a "hero" look more like a monster is very cool and something Marvel does with the Thing and the Incredible Hulk and quite a few of the X-Men (Kurt Wagner, you're one of my faves, dude, but the fingers? Yeesh.)
The Hulk is iconic in a lot of ways, but I got bored with him real fast. After a while you kind of wanted Rick Jones to shoot Dr. Banner in the ass with a BB gun every few minutes just to make him Hulk out and smash something for fun. Best Hulk moment I remember is when Logan was hiding out on some Madagascar-esque island den of thieves and the newly-returned Grey Hulk, masquerading as "Mr. Fixit" showed up. Logan kept messing with him and replaced his entire wardrobe of snazzy suits with torn purple pants just to piss Fixit off.
But I digress.
So, yeah...my top ten is Marvel-lite.

BWAH!! Well, they were, yeah.
Any fear of injury is not from you...
It's from the Death fans, since I barely consider her part of the Endless...
Happy Birthday, ND!
