Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Say "BOO-YAH! IN YOUR FACE BOSS FROM HELL! DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON YOUR VOLUMINOUS ASS ON THE WAY OUT!"

Then do a keg stand.

Heh.

Vortex is right on the money, though -- I can legitimately say it won't be the same around here...

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sox, sorry, it looks like I have to work late on Friday. Drat.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I am full of emotion about ___ leaving. I can't even express how I feel. Suffice to say that this place will be very different without you here, and I'm sure that your leaving will be resoundly felt.

Vortex is right on the money, though -- I can legitimately say it won't be the same around here...

But my way is honest. Okay, honest-ER.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

An analysis of the Harry Potter case so far:

It has fair use, and pie charts of fail, and the president of RDR apparently not remembering anything, and the plaintiffs’ attorney apologizing for saying “Lord Voldemort” aloud, and allegations that the defendant demanded an amount greater than that received by JKR for the FIRST THREE BOOKS to settle, and the Judge who is MADE OF AWESOME, and JKR’s utter disdain for the entire thing. So much disdain in fact that, if rumor is correct, she asked for SVA to have to leave the courtroom while she testified – AND OMG SHE GOT IT. WHO GETS THAT?

Plus! The Lexicon's author cries on the witness stand and throws the publishers to the wolves!

If they make this into a Law and Order episode, I might have to watch.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Should Thin Be Illegal?

PARIS — The French parliament's lower house adopted a groundbreaking bill Tuesday that would make it illegal for anyone _ including fashion magazines, advertisers and Web sites _ to publicly incite extreme thinness.

The National Assembly approved the bill in a series of votes Tuesday, after the legislation won unanimous support from the ruling conservative UMP party. It goes to the Senate in the coming weeks.

Fashion industry experts said that, if passed, the law would be the strongest of its kind anywhere. Leaders in French couture are opposed to the idea of legal boundaries on beauty standards.

The bill was the latest and strongest of measures proposed after the 2006 anorexia-linked death of a Brazilian model prompted efforts throughout the international fashion industry to address the repercussions of using ultra-thin models.

Conservative lawmaker Valery Boyer, author of the law, argued that encouraging anorexia or severe weight loss should be punishable in court.

OMG, the picture of the model is so freakishly skinny... or maybe I should say, very emmaciated.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I hate L&O and I'd watch that! Esp if it had the actual JKR.

I'm at work today and had to tell one of my bosses (the principal) that one of my other bosses (the district) fired my boss (the university) so I'm no longer at the work site as of 5/21. Way to put me in an awkward position!
