"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Hi meara!

1/c was referring to flour, but there was also use of c, which I assume meant "cup". So I added 1/2 cup of flour.

And wow, aren't you tired?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Wow Sarameg, that was quite an accident!

I am running late for work, which I hate, because there is a class. I woke up at 4:22 yesterday, was on the bus by 5:30, to work by6:20, worked until 5:30, went to theatre, worked until 8:40; and got home at 10:00. No wonder I could not get up this am, especially as I could not fall asleep. Also my cat woke me up ay 3, by laying on my butt and kneading it!

We went to Denny's and or Perkins almost every weekend night in High School. And, living in the boonies, we drove 45 minutes to get there! In college we used to sit and smoke for hours in Perkins, doing our homework.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm pretty sure I actually wrote 1/c in a recipe I was copying over just the other day! And I did mean to write 1/2 c.

So the banana nut muffin recipe is yours?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I'm pretty sure I actually wrote 1/c in a recipe I was copying over just the other day! And I did mean to write 1/2 c.

I do this ALL THE TIME.

I blame the internet. Typing all day makes writing by hand seem too slow and I wind up skipping letters. Also, why do hand-written index cards not come with spell-check? Come on!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was early to work this morning, but not as early as the new employee who got here BEFORE 8!! And of course, I did not have him in the security system so that he could get into the building.

I'm glad to see that Denny's makes Nutty immediately think of me.

Also, Deli Haus! I feel like I did not make sufficient use of Deli Haus before it was gone, gone, gone. Many people went there after the club got out, but what with the lack of public transportation at night and my boyfriend living literally next door, I generally didn't indulge. Alas, Deli Haus, I hardly knew ye.

And in somewhat random news, MSN today is featuring a photo album on "Lovely Latinas": [link]

I think it's cool. After last year I feel much more conscious of the kind of invisibility of Latinos in popular culture.

Although I have no explanation for Gina Torres not being on that list. Gina Torres, people!

And finally, though a day late, I am apparently Love in the Time of Cholera: "Like Odysseus in a work of Homer, you demonstrate undying loyalty by sleeping with as many people as you possibly can. But in your heart you never give consent! This creates a strange quandary of what love really means to you. On the one hand, you've loved the same person your whole life, but on the other, your actions barely speak to this fact."

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

So I watched Sense and Sensibility, and I never read the book, and I have a couple of questions:

    • Did Austen mean to imply that Marianne slept with Willoughby, or was that a liberty taken by the filmmakers?
    • Is it also implied that Marianne caught a disease from Willoughby, or is that purely a figment of my imagination?
