Oh, so many Denny's I've been to. Also Toddle House, and various and sundry other 24 hour diners in CT. in CT there wasn't much else to do, my friends.

We went to Bickford's in Dorchester while the clubs let out. That or Deli Haus.
Ah, Denny's. Where I wrote most of my college music theory projects. Also where everyone went post-LARPing. Because nothing says "I am a tormented creature of the night! Fear me, mortals!" like sitting around Denny's while eating fries.
Our high school late-night hangouts were mostly independent diners. I can't remember very many chain restaurants that we went to at all, except sometimes Friendly's at lunch time.
I miss the Deli Haus. I was just in Kenmore the other night bemoaning all the swankery, missing the Deli Haus.
and then there was the White Castle on Addison.
Diners for us as well -- one of the great blessings of a Jersey youth. We did have a Friendly's we went to sometimes, but they were always rude to us. We generally referred to them as Surly's.

I first read "fries" as "flies," which is a much different picture.
I am so sick of parents saying, "that's OK" when I tell them a movie is rated R for graphic bloody violence.
