"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So - what are everybody's weekend plans?

I'm putting up the friend I mentioned yesterday who's fiance is in the hospital for at least one night, maybe two, so she won't have to sleep on a couch at Mass General. It sounds like the prognosis is somewhat less grim than it sounded yesterday. He'll still need surgery, but the outlook looks positive once that's done. Still sounds horrifically painful, though.

Wow. I wonder if that was some kind of smuggled animal deal gone wrong. You'd think somebody with legitimate claims to a zebra would report it missing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm doing this.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Perhaps it was being shipped to a zebra pornographer. Is there zebra porn? Wait, I don't want to know the answer to that....

Huh. That was a big deal when I was at UWSP. (I was there two years before transferring to Madison.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That looks like so much fun!

My plans for the weekend are to not talk to anyone until I've snapped out of it. Whatever this current "it" is. Also, I should go to the library, and maybe Target for that carpet cleaner stick thing I keep seeing on the teevee.

It's still a big deal. There's a PARADE.

A trivia parade.

I've died and gone to heaven.

I'm not sure if this is as odd as a zebra on the freeway....

Cheney's shades: A 'Naked Lady?'

WASHINGTON — He shot his hunting partner, but Vice President DickCheney apparently doesn’t fly fish with naked women.

Since Wednesday, the blogosphere has been atwitter over aphotograph on the White House Web site of Cheney with a caption thatsaid he was fly-fishing on the Snake River in Idaho.

The photo is a tight shot of Cheney’s face sporting dark sunglasses and his trademark grin. What’s stirring all the buzz is the reflection in the vice president’s dark glasses.

Some thought that the reflection looked like a naked woman and, this being Cheney and this being the Internet Age,they immediately shared that thought with the world.

Worksafe, as you gotta look pretty close. Even then, it's not clear what the reflection is....
