[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Heh. Inferior mousetraps. Acme Klein Bottle rules! I will have to get one when I finish finding places for the stuff I already own and can be acquisitive again.

I should be cutting cardboard into 2' squares so they can be properly bundled for curbside recycling. I have my doubts that this will actually happen today.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

one of the inhibiting factors for me cleaning is I have a fair amount of outdated stuff that I might be able to sell. But I have no desire to go through the process. Some of it still works fine (like 3 SCSI hard drives & SCSI Jaz drive with 5 carts). But I doubt anyone will want 2 gb SCSI drives, and is it worth the hassle & time, when I'll be low on time. So then I'm like, "Oh, I'll just make a pile"... ya, and then another pile starts. Must. Simplify. My. Household.

VW, that books looks good. I was doing the Amazon reader thing. Some good tips in there. Thanks for the heads up.

Know what I just did? Cleaned out and organized my work email box. It took two hours. Dude.

I have not, however, graded the 12 essays I need to grade. Oops.

ETA: Does anyone here with lung issues find that AC sets them off? I've been feeling a lot better, but when the AC pops on, I start coughing like crazy.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My email box will likely take way more than two hours. That another on my list of cleaning tasks that I will do sometime later.

My home email box is a lost cause. I have accepted this.

Usually I have a folder for the class I'm teaching each semester, and any emails related to that class go immediately into that folder, and then three weeks after the class is over (once I'm pretty sure I won't need any of those again), I just delete that folder. This semester, though, I haven't been so good about filing everything, so I've got to go all through my inbox to find everything I need to delete.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Mother's Day to all the buffista mommies!!!

I had a very nice day with my mother. We went out for a wonderful lunch, ate too much food, and went shopping. Pretty much our Mother's Day tradition.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kristin--the DH has asthma and allergies and we have to make sure the AC filter is changed pretty often. Did you check that out?

Omnis, I hope you find it helpful. I certainly have. And not every tip is helpful to everyone, and even she recognizes that.

So, that Home Makeover about did me in. The marathon route pained onto the therapy room wall? I cried on the phone with my brother. He laughed at me, and I didn't even care.

It probably hasn't been changed in ages, so that's a very good suggestion. I think, though, that it's the actual cold air. I don't know how to explain it, really, but it feels like the cold air is actually stealing my breath.
