Sigh. Guess I'll have to find my entertainment on paper. Books! Look what you people drive me to!
I'd sleep, but my migraine-induced five hour nap in the middle of the day means I'm not too tired.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Popping in, dunno if your still checking. Just combed the intertubes on prices for RV's. Don't laugh! My Uncle has a little trailer, and I'm very sucked into the vagabond lifestyle. I was looking at Class B guys. Holy cow they are expensive to rent. $100/day and they only allocate 100 miles per day. So much for renting one and driving to FL and back to visit family and see the country.

And the way they eat gas, suddenly flying seems awfully cheap, I'm guessing!
ya, but I was thinking I could visit some folks in AZ and TX. Have a look-see at New Orleans for a day or two. Then hang in FL for a few days at a few locations. Ya couldn't do that via air travel.
But. Finances are tight right now. Sure wouldn't be able to afford that. Frustrating.
I've always loved road trips but the time saved flying is a boon, too.
ya, but when you are unemployed, you actually have time! Alas, when you are unemployed, you also *don't* have money.
:: sigh ::
Woo hoo! On the road to meet raq and mal in Balt ... Random chatter from the backseat includes: mal and I are going to see the sharks today and maybe a frog.
Kristin, lots of ~ma for you and Byron. I hope the surgeon has some optimistic words for you today.
Scrappy, still sending ~ma for your niece.
It's a holiday at my U. (yesterday through Monday, actually), but I am working every day except Sunday. I can't wait until I get it all back in comp time, but for now, I'm trying to finish annual review paperwork (each person's annual review form is 10 pages of questions I have to answer and write original comments for -- I have 5 people I need to finish).
Dear U of M:
I desperately want to get into your School of Information for my Master's Degree. I think that you should hire me as the circulation assistant for the 6pm -2am shift. Yeah, it pays less than what I'm making, but a) kickass and it would help me get into the program I want and b) the benefits at the U are amazing and c) Joe's gonna get an AWESOME kickass full time job soon and the paycut won't be that hard to handle. Plus, day classes for me!
Anyway, think about it, mull it over. I'm smart. Plus, wicked new bangs!
Love and crumpets,
Aims
PS Plus - I'll be sort of like Sparky and flea but with way less edumacation (for now).
Is this for the general library, Aimee? (I take it you'd be able to quit your current job, or I'd be telling you you're craxy to take all those credits and have two jobs!)
Let us know if you get an interview and we'll tell you all the right things to say for a public services position...
