[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I felt so Californian driving home. I took Pacific Coast Highway, I was blaring Social Distortion, and watching the big ball of fire slide lower in the sky falling into the drink. So nice to be free, even if it is for one night. Tomorrow is opening night. Yippee.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I don't know if I'll be able to watch in real time since I'll be hanging out at my parents house but I'm hoping they'll go to bed before my roomie's fight (I think he goes seventh). The website's here and my roomie is Jose.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I see him in the tiny naked headshots! (okay, tiny naked head-and-torso-shots). Best of luck to him -- I don't know as many MMA types as I do boxers and kickboxers, but they've all got all my props for the sheer amount of training it takes.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

We watched a couple bouts where he was the sparring partner for another professional fighter and I was very impressed. It wasn't as brutal as I expected (though I'm sure the real fights will be bloodier than the sparring) and the grappling was whoa so hot.

He and his even cuter brother both walk around the house half naked. It gives the pleasantly disorienting feeling of living inside an Abercrombie and Fitch catalog. They also eat things like bananas and oatmeal. I'm thinking they'll end up having a positive influence on my fitness plans.

changing gears... oh how I wish I'd stopped reading about The Day of Silence before I found out about this.

Meara, you're adorable sober and enchanting when drunk. How do you do it, missy?

Hah! More cute online, I suspect--when drunk IRL, I tend to end up knocking over other people's drinks. Though, I did that TWICE on Tuesday and I was not drunk, so...maybe I'm just clumsy. :)

Sort of how U.S. robins aren't the same bird as the U.K. robin.

Huh. Learn new things every day!

Someplace I did NOT learn new things: The three hour "Orientation to Unemployment" class I had to attend today. I swear, time moved EXTRA slowly in there. Plus I had a migraine. Fun times!

And this season's ANTM is probably best watched after drinking.

I think this really applies to ALL seasons of ANTM. And extra to anything involving the Pussycat Dolls.

Half-sour pickles: pickles that have been soaked in the sour pickle brine for less time.

are those the ones that are really green? Cause I LOVE them. I have only eaten them at krupin's.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just found out my roommate's professional fighting debut will be broadcat live on the internet for free Saturday night

Cool. I know one of the guys in what looks like fight #4. I was supposed to be going, but it's all migraine dependent, and I'm pretty sure I missed out on buying a good ticket anyway. There will be a bunch of krav people in attendance, supporting Mr. Ayala.
