I like pancakes 'cause they're stackable. Ooo, and waffles 'cause you can put things in the little holes if you wanted to.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Please don't forget to eat, Erin!

I'm not the only one who skimmed right over the comma, I hope?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

In case there was any doubt, Plei totally rocks! The blog you linked to earlier is perfectly what I was looking for. I started reading it from the beginning and her Spina Bifida seems to be of equal severity to mine and reading her first few entries has already answered a bunch of questions. Thank you!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I don't think I'd be very tasty right now. I'm like one of those stressed-out veal calves.

Erin's no tasty free-range chicken right now!

Thanks, JZ. I can't even remember who of my meatspace friends knows about all the various craptastic things right now, so I'm all like "And then I have to get surgery/update my resume..." and people are all "Brwha?"

I am making jambalaya and washing all my bedstuff. I will slounge in vanilla lavender scented comfort! (Although, in all reality, I'll be back in a week, and it will probably smell like pissed-off cat.)

Vortex, I have no solutions for you, but the idea that you wouldn't get to choose your own assistant bugs the heck out of me.

sj, I don't have any references to offer you, but tons of ~ma in dealing with the whole process. Sometimes the research is as exhausting as the rest.

Erin, tons and tons of surgery~ma and job~ma. You should definitely threadsuck and bask in the righteous Buffista anger at the way you've been treated. I'm so glad you're kids are being sweet.

Susan, my experience is limited, but I have heard what Ginger said--start the anti-nausea drugs early and stay on them late.

Laura, I am in complete agreement about what everyone said about the letter. You are being incredibly diplomatic in a very difficult situation. I really liked Vortex's revision of that one paragraph, fwiw.

JZ, despite work insanity, I'm so happy that your actual work environment is turning out to be positive.

My Google-fu sucks. I've been looking for weeks on and off and never came across that blog. The other links on her site are also very helpful.

Can someone please smite a few key people at Disney for me?

Also, the entire thing is overlaid with a strong stench of math and accounting.

Try vinegar.

Alas, I can't smite them. My body has been (somewhat unsuccessfully) smiting the pneumonia for two weeks, and I think that I am all smited out. I can offer hugs. I'll leave the smiting to the experts.

So I left work at noon today, nearly fell asleep on the way home, and then crashed for a two-hour nap. Apparently I'm still sick.

ETA: Did anyone else giggle at this x-post?

NoiseDesign: Can someone please smite a few key people at Disney for me?

Ginger: Try vinegar.

JZ, good luck with the job transition.
