'Beneath You'

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm sure the countryside around Bangkok has changed a lot in 30 years.

Sadly, Hubby is over-thinking things again. We were nearly finished filling up the suitcase, when he suddenly decided that we should put everything in two backpacks instead so we can do them as carry-on. However, one of our backpacks is in the storage shed, which we won't be able to get to till tomorrow morning, and then that will need to be dug out, emptied out, brought home, everything repacked. I know checked luggage is liable to be lost, but dammit, I'd rather take the risk rather than have to rush around to get everything done and catch the bus to the airport at the last minute--the way he normally approaches every trip.

Today is the May bank holiday over here. Mmm, delicious lying in bed drinking tea on a Monday morning..

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I guess I was trying to say I'm feeling guilty having all this space, while my friends are having to deal with much more restricted quarters.

Sorry - upon rereading I sound a bit shirty, and I didn't feel shirty. I do think it's nice you have a lot of space. There's always pros and cons to any place - sorry about your commute, mate! Sounds like we both appreciate the pros of our respective places, and can deal with the cons. If that makes sense.

Meanwhile, somebody tell me to stop having a fucking crush on this bloke already.

Seriously. It's boring, and cliched, and just not a good thing. It needs to be over now.

Oh pish posh. Crushes are good things if you ask me. All the imagining a relationship means you've run through all the possibilities when one does comes along.

yes, to a point, but, when it's clear that your affections are not returned, it gets tiresome.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My first two NY apartments were each about 500 sqft. The coop we bought and moved into last year is about 900 - it felt palatial when we first moved in, but OMFG kids take up a lot of space. I've been seriously craving a real backyard and a rec room ever since he started crawling. I can see why people with kids flee to the suburbs.

(So if anyone's stuck on what to give me for Mother's Day, what I'd really like is $500k to buy an adorable little row house in Windsor Terrace. Thanks!)

This.

Seriously, he needs to be less likeable. And not do awesome things. That would be helpful. Yes. Because I don't much relish feeling like someone's taken a cheesegrater to my heart after every damn rehearsal. Enough. Finis.

Sorry, I apologise for venting - I know it's tedious and self-indulgent. I just - ack. It makes my heart hurt and my head feel 'splodey.

Stupid fucking universe.

My god, the german news conference on the Austria abuse scandal is boring as hell. They are describing the "one an a half ton door, with hinges, then there was another metal door, and then there was another metal door."

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
