'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

keep popping off the mattress while I'm sleeping

Get some wide elastic banding, fold the ends over and sew to keep end from unraveling, place safety pins at each end, pin over corners and create an artificial "pocket." That's what my mom used to do.

I have marked the chicken recipes and look forward to using them.

However, currently we're in the throes leaving tomorrow for VEGAS, BABY!

Four nights at a 4-star hotel. Magic show on Tuesday, everything else wide open--god, this is going to be fun.

Four nights at a 4-star hotel

For those of you who clean with vinegar:

May I assume white vinegar?

What proportions?

Yes, white vinegar, the kind that you can buy in the gallon containers. I generally dillute by half, and sometimes add a bit of either dish soap or essential oil, depending on what I'm doing. A good source for this stuff is [link] .

Thanks, Hil!

ION, while I am not in Margaritaville, I am drinking Landshark Lager made by Margaritaville, Inc. It's quite tasty, a little bolder than Corona, but along the same lines.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Truth hurts, doesn't it, baby?

There's probably whole seminars on that.

Indeed. I went to a couple of those seminars last weekend.

Oh, wait. It wasn't about the *truth* hurting....

You know when you begin to emerge from a long illness and get your first clear look at the state of your home? Yeah.

My cold is still REALLY bad, AND I gave it to The Boy, so we've basically been doing the bare minimum required to keep vermin out of the house, and let me tell you. Two dogs, 2 cats, 2 sick people who aren't cooking -- it's like a poster for a hepatitis vaccination.

I got the cold Monday, gave the cold to The Boy on Wednesday, and if he gets better before I do (which is looking likely) I am going to be PISSED.

Just finished three loads of laundry: kitchen linens, quilts, and bed linens. Everything folded and put where it ought to be. And now, exhausted.
