I just spent fifteen minutes trying to find my cell phone. It's set to vibrate and then ring so I only have about 15 seconds of ring to track it down. It was driving me nuts because when I was in my room it sounded like it was behind the door but when I was outside my room it sounded like it was in the bathroom. No matter where I went in the house it sounded like it was right there. It was in my effing pocket. I couldn't feel the vibration until I touched it. doh!

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The calls are coming from inside your person!
SuziQ! You sneaky neat person you!
There will be photos.
Me???? Photos are always welcome, but I have NO idea what you are talking about.
Tommyrot just made me snort Diet Dr. Pepper up my nose.
David, your first Abney Park link has an extra x in it.

We won! Close game, 2-1. Emmett took a hit at home playing catcher, but held on to the ball, got the out and kept the tying run from scoring. In their last ups, they had a fast runner at second with two outs. Their batter scorched a hard shot into the hole which knocked our shorstop down. Arlo popped up and threw out the runner at first and we won. Phew!

Man oh man is my sleep schedule frelled. It was already a little off, but the night I was admitted to the hospital, I didn't even get into my room until 3am and didn't get to sleep until 4...and then was woken up for vitals around 6 and then again around 8 for breakfast. Then I snoozed until my next IV antibiotic treatment at 10..and so on. Two days of completely sporadic and unpredictable sleep (I couldn't even go to sleep until after the 10pm IV, which lasted 40 minutes, and then they woke me up at 4 every morning for another 40-minute IV and then at 6 for vitals) left me with no sense of time. I haven't been able to fall asleep until 3-4am since I got home, and waking up at noon feels "normal." I have to go back to work on Monday, so I better get this sorted soon.
Anyway, Omnis, I'm feeling cranky and haven't even showered yet. Do you maybe want to come up later this evening rather than this afternoon? I'd probably be much better company then.
Sounds like you could use an afternoon nap yourself!
Connie, doesn't seem like you did too much damage to your friendslist--I'm sure most people knew you well enough. Did you know either of those women that well?
KT, Ya, I came home to shower. HAD TO. Ugg. I don't drink coffee, but shower is my morning vice. Feel so much better. Mmmm smell better too.
um. oops. bad typing
Anywho.. Ya, that sounds cool. Call me when you want visitor (or about an hour before you want one).
How does one cook chicken so that's moist and tender? Is the problem with using frozen chicken?
Defrost before cooking for moistness and tenderness. Defrost on 3 in Microwave, turning every 3 minuntes for parts. Or under running cold water. I think both of these are for parts only. Never tried either with a whole chicken.
For parts: foil wrapped covered in sauce with veggies or fruits.
For whole chicken - stuffed and basted and foil wrapped. Stuffiing can be as simple as an orange or onion or both up its butt.
Also, stew with liquid and roots and veggies and spices. (Parts. Don't think I'd waste a whole chicken on this cooking method.)
Lastly, I do the instant defrost thing only with parts. I try to defrost frozen whole chickens only in the refrigerator. I don't think I'd try microwave defrosting a whole chicken, though maybe someone here has. I suspect the running water thing might not work - or at least would take a long time and use enough water to show on your water bill. I suppose you could use a cold water bath rather than running water, but that would be a really slow process. And I don't know about food safety in those circumstances.
And the cool looking Steampunk band, Abney Park.
Bites tongue very hard. Removes fingers from keyboard for a few minutes.
