Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I had seen that image before. I usually find furries endearing and of course I love Cap'n Tightpants but for some reason putting them together really squicked me. The image is burned on my brain and I'd be ever so happy if it went away.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oh, Hil, I have no recollection of that white board/bulletin board being mine.

Just searched the old thread to figure out whose whiteboard is was, and it looks like it was yours: Raq "F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?" May 25, 2004 5:47:23 pm PDT

I should be productive this afternoon, shouldn't I? Taking a nap seems like such a better idea.

Luckily, it is not yet afternoon here, so I feel no need to be productive just yet.

I am contemplating breakfast, though. But that would require pants. And shoes. Hrm.

Later I may go buy more cowboy boots. And hit up the used bookstore. But this is not really an urgent errand. I also need a new desk and chair, for work, but...that's not FUN shopping.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

The image is burned on my brain and I'd be ever so happy if it went away.

Really? Huh. I laughed my ass off. I mean, I mostly thought '...bless!' but I definitely laughed my ass off. Not my beautiful cake, but whatever floats one's boat, and I'm most impressed by the artistry and craftiness involved in making the damn thing. Bemused, but impressed.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I just spent fifteen minutes trying to find my cell phone. It's set to vibrate and then ring so I only have about 15 seconds of ring to track it down. It was driving me nuts because when I was in my room it sounded like it was behind the door but when I was outside my room it sounded like it was in the bathroom. No matter where I went in the house it sounded like it was right there. It was in my effing pocket. I couldn't feel the vibration until I touched it. doh!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The calls are coming from inside your person!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tommyrot just made me snort Diet Dr. Pepper up my nose.

David, your first Abney Park link has an extra x in it.

We won! Close game, 2-1. Emmett took a hit at home playing catcher, but held on to the ball, got the out and kept the tying run from scoring. In their last ups, they had a fast runner at second with two outs. Their batter scorched a hard shot into the hole which knocked our shorstop down. Arlo popped up and threw out the runner at first and we won. Phew!

Man oh man is my sleep schedule frelled. It was already a little off, but the night I was admitted to the hospital, I didn't even get into my room until 3am and didn't get to sleep until 4...and then was woken up for vitals around 6 and then again around 8 for breakfast. Then I snoozed until my next IV antibiotic treatment at 10..and so on. Two days of completely sporadic and unpredictable sleep (I couldn't even go to sleep until after the 10pm IV, which lasted 40 minutes, and then they woke me up at 4 every morning for another 40-minute IV and then at 6 for vitals) left me with no sense of time. I haven't been able to fall asleep until 3-4am since I got home, and waking up at noon feels "normal." I have to go back to work on Monday, so I better get this sorted soon.

Anyway, Omnis, I'm feeling cranky and haven't even showered yet. Do you maybe want to come up later this evening rather than this afternoon? I'd probably be much better company then.

Sounds like you could use an afternoon nap yourself!
