Percy knows the danger of the shower monster. If anyone is in the shower he must be in there, too. At least he no longer tries to hamstring us as we get into the shower. Matt thought it was sorta funny when I ended up with 4 paws and teeth on the back of my knee. Until it happened to his ankle. Percy was banned from the bathroom for awhile.
I felt better after a nap. now i feel all loopy again
The Cat Daniel is absolutely convinced that teh hoomans need a cat wingman any time they venture into the bathroom, for any purpose.
One of the cats always sits on The Boy's lap whenever The Boy is on the john. Always. She never tries it with me, because I think she knows there'd be hell to pay.
Eating earlier is better if you can. Partly because it can take 5 hours to digest a meal - not so good for sleep. Yes, I have read at least 3 books on how to sleep better.
The last place we lived had shelves in the bathroom above the washer and dryer where I kept my folded sheets. The cats liked to sleep up there. Unless the shower was on, then they had to get out Get Out GET OUT!
Ok, I have a question that is completely from left field.
I need to know which Buffistas sprog are in the 3-4 year old range.
I know I should be able to rattle of names, but dang it - they are all still babies in my brain.
Yeah, I've suspected for a while that the late dinners are messing with my sleep. The only way I'd be able to eat earlier would be separate dinners and that seems like a really bad idea. I was raised with a strong "whatever else is going on we eat dinner together as a family" and it really took root in my hindbrain.
Sara's 4, Suzi.
Lillian just turned 3, and Em is 3.5, and Owen is 3, too. Ellie is ... not yet 3, I think. Iris is 3, too.
I'm drawing a blank now.
We always eat late. Like, seven. Even the kids.
Oh, and Isaac is 3, just this past weekend. And Casper and Frannie are both a bit past 4 1/2 -- I don't know if that counts for your idea of 3-4 range or not.
Team Amy totally has this covered. ::nods::
I can barely remember my own kids ages! Well done, Team Amy.
Yeah, I feel we should eat earlier than 7. It was a compromise since after school sports usually go until 6 or so. It is a long full day for all of us. We all go to bed at 10 usually, although most of us read in bed. The day starts at 6:15. I tried to talk my son and my other car pool kid into becoming activists for a later school day start. They accused me of being a hippie. Seriously, you don't have to be an aging hippie to be an activist. Lazy teens.
