Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wallybee and I saw two possums while out walking the other evening! They were most adorable, and did not once make us fear for our very lives. Wasn't that thoughtful of them?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Aren't Australian opossums different from the North American kind? Sort of how U.S. robins aren't the same bird as the U.K. robin.

Yeah, DH was a bit put-out too. Ours are smaller, apparently.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Well, so British and American robins are different birds. Learn something new every day. And today's doesn't have to be some sordid revelation of the further depths of ignorance and foolishness of human behavior. So, that's a win.

I know not as much as I once thought.

I find myself thinking this all the time. Feels like getting older is just the process of finding out how little you know.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Dill: half-sour

Dill does NOT equal half-sour.

Half-sour pickles are salty. Dill pickles are sour.

Signed, loves on dill but hates on half-sour.

I had beer battered pickles at a "gastropub"

The brewpub I got to all the time (two locations) has had deep fried pickles on the menu as long as I can remember. I've heard they are good, but I've never quite worked up the nerve to order them.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I might only be buying a year. I really shouldn't google. I know better.

In the immortal words of Han Solo, "Never tell me the odds." There's no way to see into the future with cancer.

Feels like getting older is just the process of finding out how little you know.

Yep. That and the process of finding new ways your body can turn on you.

I'm driving to Nashville tomorrow. Do Not Want.
