Teppy, great link. I love this piece.
Spike ,'Conversations with Dead People'
Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
It's not the money; it's the principle of the thing, for him. He *could* make it, he'd tell me.
Tell him what Pete tells me when I'm eyeing something that I could (probably) make: yes, but how long would it take you? Figure out what the cost of your (his) labor is worth. When you add that to the cost of supplies, it's probably better just to buy the shiny thing from Etsy.
Etsy is an interesting site. It might be a good place for me to try and sell gift baskets.
ADD is a harsh mistress.Bwahahahahaha. I may need to tag that.
P.S. Being sick is boring. I'm tired of being in bed. I don't have any good books I want to read, and TV makes my head hurt.

You're more than welcome to it!
Oooh, I have a ring like that, Steph, but it's back in the UK. It's made of awesome, but has a tendancy to snag on things. (Also, I agree with the cufflinks love! One of the first things I got my tailor to make was a shirt/jackety thing with French cuffs - so now I can haz cufflinks!)
Sounds like a few asses need to be kicked - I can do that today.
today's fun patrons.
1) mr c. who asks me questions in English - then asks my co -worker the same question in mandarin hoping for a different answer. And asks me for grammer and spellings help (HA) . and tries to intimidate people into getting off the computer by hanging over their shoulders. Yes, I yell at him across the library to go find a chair and wait his turn.
2) cute unattended toddler that had teenagers encouraging her to climb over the back of a chair while caretaker was ignoring her.
3) mom who wanted to leave the library while her 3 year old was in story time "well, we don't have an age limit on how old a child has to be to be left alone at the library, but if I am doing story time I can't chase your child if he decides to go out the door..."
4) combo: woman with a traumatic brain injury - I believed that was true. I felt some sympathy for her. But she waviered between extreme aggressiveness and weepy. And wanted us to tell her exactly what she should do - and solve all her problems . I am good, but not that good. And let's add my very conflict avoident co-worker. I know that for every librarian like me there are 10 timid souls - but really - if a stranger is touching you - and coming behind the desk , and making you feel like you and your unborn child are possibly in danger - do something - even if all you do is walk away.
so for probably the second time at my teen y library I could have gladly hit a number of people. which is pretty damn good in the public service world.
Crappy day for Bitches, I guess.
Much ~ma to the Morgan family.
